A heritage of extrusion work. The company was built on the specialised expertise of our founder, Stanley Zala. Before starting Zala Machine Co., Stanley was a master machinist at Davis-Standard, a global builder of plastic and rubber processing systems.
OEM-level insight: at Davis-Standard, Stanley learned extrusion equipment from the inside — the tolerances that matter in a feed section, and how melt flow actually behaves.
Passed down: that knowledge went to his son, Martin Zala. Under Martin the shop added 5-axis milling without giving up the old-world focus on precision.
The next generation: Gabriel Zala has been in the shop since he was old enough to help, and is the third generation of Zala machinists. The specialised knowledge of polymer machining stays in the family.

Over the years we have expanded our Machine Shop Services to include specialties like Honing, Gun-drilling, Large Machining, Grinding, and Fabricating. Zala Machine’s investment in advancement has led us to precision 5 Axis CNC Machining. Using our 5-axis Mori Seiki NTX2000 Mill/Turn we are capable of machining any and all difficult and complex precision parts.

Carbon and alloy steel, 4140HT, stainless, 15-5 PH, Inconel, titanium, bronze, aluminium and cast iron. Heat treating, nitriding and plating go to outside vendors and come back here for finishing.
